Hello & Thank You!
I create textured, abstract works with acrylic — inspired by nature, emotion, and this wild, beautiful thing we call life. Each piece begins with an idea, then evolves intuitively through the process. My work is about connection; when someone sees a part of themselves in a painting, that’s the heart of everything I create.
Alongside painting, I’m also a florist, and I still absolutely love it. I spent many years creating wedding flowers for couples, and there’s something incredibly special about that kind of work — expressive and creative, yet grounded in the rhythms of nature. That same grounding finds its way into my art too — in the movement, the texture, the colour, and the feeling.
From my studio in the Perth Hills, I create original artworks, offer fine art prints, and take on a small number of intuitive commissions — pieces made in collaboration, but always guided by instinct and emotion.
Whether you’re just here for a look or searching for something that feels like home, thank you. Truly. I was that little girl who was told, more than once, that being an artist wasn’t a real job — that it wasn’t realistic. But I never let go of that dream. And to be here now, creating, sharing, and connecting through art… it means everything. Your presence helps make it real. From the bottom of my heart — thank you for being here.
You’re still here? I love that.
Thanks for sticking around — it honestly means so much to me that you’re taking the time to dive a little deeper. So let me tell you a bit more about who I am and why I do what I do.
Where Flowers Meet Paint
Long before floristry, I was painting. But when I stepped into the world of wedding flowers, something clicked. Working with blooms deepened how I saw colour, balance, and movement. Arranging florals for couples on one of the most meaningful days of their lives taught me to follow feeling just as much as form.
That experience didn’t replace my art practice — it enriched it. The way I build a composition, layer texture, or choose a palette has absolutely been shaped by those years with flowers in my hands.
Now, even with a brush instead of a bouquet, the rhythm of nature still guides me. Both floristry and painting are emotional, expressive, and sensory — and for me, they’ve always felt like two languages telling the same story.
Where I create.
I’m based in the Perth Hills of Western Australia, creating in a little studio that overlooks a garden full of trees, birdlife, and the occasional visiting quenda. Each morning, the light through the eucalypts warms the space, often guiding the palette of my next piece. It’s peaceful, wild, and endlessly inspiring — a perfect place to get a little paint under my nails.
How I work.
Right now, I’m in love with texture. Palette knives are my go-to — I love the boldness and depth they bring, the way they create layers you can almost reach out and touch. There’s a raw emotion that comes from working this way.
But I’m not locking myself into one method. I want to keep growing, exploring, and letting my art shift as I do. For me, creativity is about movement — not boxes.
The heart of it all.
What means the most to me is when someone sees a part of themselves in something I’ve made. Not just what they see, but what they feel.
When someone tells me a painting helped them understand something, or brought them peace, or reminded them of something they’d forgotten — it feels like the work becomes theirs, too. That’s the kind of connection I create for.
Paint, Playlists & Other Studio Secrets
-
While I love the richness of oil paint, I choose to work primarily with acrylics — and that choice comes down to health. Traditional oil paints often require strong solvents like turpentine or mineral spirits for cleaning and thinning, which can release harmful fumes and irritate the lungs, skin, and nervous system over time.
As someone who manages a number of chronic health conditions day-to-day, I prioritise creating in a way that supports my wellbeing. Acrylics allow me to work more safely, freely, and with less physical toll — while still offering the texture, depth, and vibrancy I adore.
In the end, the materials I use are a reflection of how I want to live and create: intuitively, sustainably, and in tune with what my body needs.

Almost always — though it’s not always music. Sometimes it’s soft, instrumental tunes or something I can hum along to. Other times I’ve got a favourite podcast or a comforting comedy series playing in the background — something familiar that I don’t need to pay too much attention to.
But once I really get into the flow of painting, everything around me starts to blur. The world fades out, the sounds drift into the background, and it’s just me, the paint, and the canvas. That quiet, focused space is where the magic happens.
-
My studio looks out over my back garden in the Perth Hills — a space filled with trees, birdsong, the occasional quenda scurrying by, and kangaroos that hop past more often than you’d think. It’s quiet, light-filled, and full of soul — a place where paintbrushes live in old jars, and the light shifts beautifully throughout the day.
It’s also (if I’m honest) often a bit of a creative mess. There are canvases waiting to be brought to life, others drying quietly in corners, and more than a few paint splashes on the white walls from moments when I got completely lost in the process. I try to keep it tidy — but creativity tends to wander, and it’s not one to stay neatly in the lines.

I believe art belongs to everyone. Truly. Whether you’ve collected a whole wall of originals or you’ve just tucked a single postcard print into the corner of your bookshelf — you’re a collector.
There’s a certain exclusivity that can hover around the art world… a feeling that you need to have the right words, the right budget, or the right background to be part of it. But I don’t see it that way. I never have.
To me, the heart of collecting is connection. It’s about finding a piece that stirs something in you, even if you can’t quite explain why. That quiet moment of “this one” — that’s what matters.
Everyone deserves to enjoy art. Everyone can enjoy art. You don’t need a degree, a gallery wall, or any kind of permission slip. If something speaks to you, that’s enough. That’s everything.
Some of my most cherished pieces are crumpled little drawings gifted to me by my nieces and nephews — full of wild colour and pure, unfiltered joy. That’s art, too. And it’s just as worthy of love and space as anything hanging in a frame.
So if you’re here and you’re moved by something I’ve made, know that you’re already part of this story. You’re welcome in this space. You’re welcome in the art world. You’re allowed to feel like a collector — because you are one.
Still dreaming.
I’ve carried this dream with me for as long as I can remember — a quiet, steady pull toward creating. It’s never really let go of me, and I’ve never let go of it. Art is what I come back to again and again. It’s where I feel most like myself. And while I’m not a full-time artist just yet, I’m building toward that life with every brushstroke, every moment in the studio. Because this isn’t just something I do — it’s who I am.
As I prepare for my upcoming solo exhibition, I’m excited to share new works that delve deeper into themes of belonging and transformation. This milestone brings me closer to realizing my dream of dedicating myself entirely to my art.
Before you wander further….
If something in my work speaks to you, I’d love to stay connected.
Feel free to join my mailing list for updates on new pieces and exhibitions — or just reach out with your thoughts or stories.
Thank you for spending a little time here. It honestly means so much.
Every person who connects with my work, even in the smallest way, becomes part of its story.
I hope something here has stirred something in you — a memory, a feeling, a moment of stillness.
That’s what I’m really trying to share.
A Few Kind Words
These kind words are from my wedding flower days — when I was creating heartfelt pieces under Budding Moments. The medium may have changed, but the care, intention, and soul behind the work remain just the same.
