Collectors (aka you)…

  • You are.

Anyone who purchases art — whether it’s an original painting, a limited-edition print, or a piece that simply spoke to something inside you — is a collector.

You don’t need a white-walled gallery or a background in art history to belong here. You just need that little spark, that feeling when a piece makes you pause, feel, remember, dream. That’s the beginning of collecting.

The art world can sometimes feel closed-off or intimidating, but I truly believe it shouldn’t be. Art is for everyone — for homes full of life, quiet corners, messy studios, rented apartments, growing families. If a piece resonates with you, that’s all that matters.

So if you’ve ever bought a piece of art you love (or you’re thinking about it), welcome — you’re already a collector in my eyes.

  • Absolutely. Small pieces can carry just as much meaning as large ones. A postcard, a mini print, even a card that’s too beautiful to throw away — it all counts. Art is about connection, not size. If it resonates with you, it’s meaningful. That’s what matters.

  • That’s completely okay. You don’t need to understand brushstroke techniques or color theory to appreciate a piece of art. If it makes you feel something — that’s more than enough. Your connection is valid and real, just as you are.

  • Yes! That’s why I offer prints and small-scale works alongside originals. Collecting art doesn’t have to be expensive — it’s about building a space that reflects you, piece by piece, in whatever way makes sense for your life.

FAQ - Product Info

  • What is a print?

A print is a high-quality reproduction of one of my original artworks, professionally photographed and printed on beautiful archival paper. It’s a way to bring art into your space without purchasing the original piece — and I still pack each one with love (and usually a few paint smudges, too).

  • What is an original?

Originals are one-of-a-kind artworks, created by hand in my home studio in the Perth Hills. Each one carries all the little textures, marks, and details of the making process — the layered brushstrokes, the palette knife sweeps, and the pauses in between. They’re pieces of my heart, and there’s only ever one of each.

  • What is a commission?

A commission is a custom piece of art created just for you. If you’re after something personal or specific — whether inspired by a piece you’ve seen or a story you want captured — commissions are the way to go. I only take on a few each year, so keep an eye out or join the MK Collectors Club to hear when commissions open next.

FAQ - Originals

  • What is an MK original?

Originals are one-of-a-kind artworks, created by hand in my home studio in the Perth Hills. Each one carries all the little textures, marks, and details of the making process — the layered brushstrokes, the palette knife sweeps, and the pauses in between. They’re pieces of my heart, and there’s only ever one of each.

  • When will your originals be available to purchase?

I’m currently working toward a special exhibition planned for 2026. The originals featured in print form now will be available for sale at that event, alongside other new pieces that won’t be shown online. If you’re hoping to collect an original, I recommend joining the MK Collectors Club — you’ll get early updates, behind-the-scenes glimpses, and exclusive info about the exhibition and opening night.

  • Why are you only selling originals at your next exhibition?

Originals are incredibly special — each one is a one-of-a-kind work of art that will never exist in the same way again. They hold so much of me in them: the time, the love, the effort, the pauses, the persistence, and all the quiet heart that goes into creating something by hand.

Because of that, I believe they deserve more than just a quiet upload to a webpage. I want each piece to be seen in real life, to be stood in front of, to be connected with. I want them to have their moment — to be admired by many before finding their person. Maybe it’s a forever home, maybe it’s just a chapter. Either way, it feels important that their journey starts with presence.

That’s why I’ve chosen to release my originals through a special exhibition in 2026. It’s not just about selling them — it’s about honouring the work they hold.

After the exhibition, any unsold works will be made available online — so if you’re not able to attend, you’ll still have the opportunity to view and purchase originals right here.

FAQ - Orders

  • Can I cancel or change my order after placing it?

If you need to make changes, please contact me as soon as possible. Once your order has started being processed, I may not be able to make any changes, but I’ll always do my best to help where I can.

  • Can I change my order after placing it?

If you need to make changes, reach out straight away. I’ll always do my best to help, but once the order is in motion (especially for prints or shipping prep), changes might not be possible.

  • I haven’t received my order confirmation. Where is it?

First, check your spam or junk folder — sometimes emails get lost in there. If it’s still missing, feel free to get in touch and I’ll make sure it’s sorted.

  • Can I track my order?

Absolutely. Once your order has been processed and shipped, you’ll receive an email with your tracking info so you can follow its journey to your doorstep.

  • How long will it take to process my order?

Each order is packed by hand in my studio in the Perth Hills, Western Australia — with care, intention, and usually a bit of paint under my nails.

Print orders are usually processed within 14 business days.

Original artworks may take up to 28 business days, as I take extra time with final touches, drying, signing, and safely packaging them.

You’ll receive an email confirmation with tracking details once your parcel is on its way.

  • Will there be shipping or processing delays?

Occasionally, yes — especially during busy seasons or if I’m away on holidays. If that’s the case, I’ll always notify you clearly via a banner on the website or a note at checkout. If there’s ever an unexpected delay, I’ll be in touch as soon as I can. I know how exciting it is to receive something special, and I always do my best to get it to you promptly.

  • Do you ship internationally?

At this stage, I only ship within Australia. But if you live elsewhere and have your heart set on something, feel free to reach out — I might be able to make something work.

Returns & Shipping Info

  • Please allow up to 14 business days for print orders to be processed and shipped, though I always aim to get things out to you as soon as possible. You’ll receive a confirmation email with tracking once your parcel is on its way.

Original artworks take a little longer, as I often need time to add final touches, let layers cure fully, and wrap everything up safely for the journey ahead. These can take up to 4 weeks to process before being shipped.

If I’m away on holidays or attending an event, there may be a slight delay in processing orders — but you’ll be notified at checkout or by a banner on the site. And if any unexpected delays pop up, I’ll be in touch as soon as possible. I always do my very best to get your artwork to you quickly — because who wants to wait longer than they have to for a beautiful package of art joy?

  • Because I run a one-woman studio (and a pretty hands-on life), there may be occasional delays — especially during busy seasons, or if I’m away on a creative break or holiday. If there will be an expected delay, I’ll always let you know — either through a website banner, a note at checkout, or a follow-up message after your purchase.

If something unexpected pops up, I’ll notify you as soon as possible. I absolutely do my best to get artworks out promptly — it really matters to me. Because honestly, who wants to wait any longer than they have to for a beautiful package to arrive on their doorstep?

  • Please choose carefully, as I do not accept returns or offer refunds for change of mind. Every piece is made or printed with great care, and I do my best to show accurate photos and descriptions of the work.

If your order arrives damaged, please get in touch within 7 days of receiving it with clear photos of the packaging and the artwork. I’ll do everything I can to make it right.

  • Please note that colours may vary slightly from screen to screen. Each device displays colours differently, and while I do my best to ensure accuracy, there may be minor variations in tone or brightness.

  • I currently offer shipping within Australia. If you’re outside Australia and interested in purchasing, feel free to contact me — I’d love to see what’s possible.

  • All artworks, designs, images, and content on this website are the original creations of Monique and are protected under Australian and international copyright laws.

When you purchase an original painting or a print, you are buying the physical item — not the rights to reproduce, distribute, or profit from the artwork. The artist retains full copyright and reproduction rights of all artwork, including sold pieces. This means Monique may continue to reproduce the artwork as prints, include it in publications, feature it online, or use it for promotional materials, regardless of ownership of the original piece.

If you wish to use an image of Monique’s artwork for any commercial or public purpose, please get in touch for licensing enquiries.

    • All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD).

    • Full payment is required at the time of purchase.

    • Orders are processed within the timeframes listed on the Shipping Info page. Print orders may take up to 14 business days, while original artworks can take up to 28 business days to allow for final touches, curing, and safe packaging.

    • Shipping is currently available within Australia. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and vary depending on location and size.

    • Monique is not responsible for shipping delays caused by postal services, customs, or unforeseen circumstances once the parcel has left the studio — but she will always do her best to keep you updated along the way.

  • In accordance with the Australian Consumer Law:

    • Refunds or exchanges are available if the artwork is faulty, damaged upon arrival, or does not match the description.

    • Change-of-mind returns are not accepted.

    • To initiate a return, contact Monique within 7 days of receiving the artwork.

  • Mk respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. Any personal data collected is used solely for order processing and communication purposes. Your information will not be shared with third parties without your consent, except as required by law.

  • Please note that while every effort is made to ensure photographs accurately represent each artwork, colours may vary slightly depending on the device or screen settings used to view the artwork. Textures, brushwork, and finishes may also appear differently in person. If you have any questions about the piece before purchasing, you’re always welcome to contact Monique.

  • Buyers may not reproduce, scan, copy, publish, or distribute any artwork or imagery without written permission from Monique. This includes use on websites, social media (unless reposting with credit), merchandise, or commercial projects. Licensing inquiries are welcome and can be made via the contact page.

  • Artworks listed in the shop are subject to availability. Monique reserves the right to update, remove, or change product listings, pricing, or descriptions at any time without notice.

  • Some artworks featured across the site may be in-progress pieces and are not available for sale until marked as final. These may change in appearance over time as part of Monique’s evolving creative process.

  • Monique is not liable for any delay or failure to perform obligations under these terms due to events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, postal delays, strikes, or technical outages.

  • Many of the artworks displayed throughout this website may be shown in their in-progress stages. These are part of the creative journey and are shared as part of the broader visual story. While some of these works may become available for purchase later (as originals or prints), others may never be released for sale. I reserve the right to change, develop, or discontinue any piece at any time.

  • In some cases, I may offer prints of incomplete artworks. These prints are intentionally captured during specific stages of the process, and are considered finished products in their own right. Purchasing a print of an in-progress work does not grant any rights to the future, final version of that artwork.

  • Because my work is intuitive and often evolves through layers, textures, and spontaneous shifts, the final piece may differ significantly from its earlier versions or images displayed on the site. This is part of the organic, expressive nature of my process, and I appreciate your understanding of its fluidity.
